BRIEF
|
Siemens is one of the largest players in the global electricity logistics industry. Siemens International group headquarters commissioned various photographers from around the world to capture images of "Megacities" in territories where Siemens operate. The project brief was to capture the electrical vibrancy of these cities. Michael was commissioned to capture images from Australia and New Zealand for the project. The brief saw Michael travel to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland over a short period of 10-14 days. The brief was unique in that it required all images to have almost 20,000 pixels in the longest edge, as the images were to be displayed through a bank of 9 plasma panels in Siemens Australian head office in Melbourne. Most digital cameras have an output of less than 5000 pixels, and Michael's specialised panoramic equipment enabled this part of the brief to be successfully met with ease. |
